  • State troopers arrested and charged 20-year-olds Anthony Colasacco and Paul T. Masi with resisting arrest and attempting assault respectively after their alleged involvement in a Monday night car crash on Miller Avenue in Somers. The incident involved a police chase and helicopters were seen in the area, according to reports. 
  • Somers' Paige Jockimo placed first in a race at Mount Kisco's Grand Prix New York. She wasn't competing for a trophy but to help raise funds for a cause aiming to save the lives of teenage drivers. The fund-raiser brought in $2,200 for the group, which will go toward future awareness programs.
