SOMERS, N.Y. — Somers resident Frank Genovesi died on Wednesday, May 3. He was 91.
He was born on March 5, 1925, to Giacomo and Luisa Genovesi in Casamari, Italy.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in World War II.
He was an avid boxer, bowler and golfer.
Genovesi is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ida Genovesi; daughter Louise Perucci, son Frank Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and daughter Diana.
He also is survived by his brother, Mario Genovesi; sister, Julia Panizzut; grandchildren James and Robert Perucci, Jennifer and Mallory Genovesi; and four great-grandchildren.
Genovesi was predeceased by his brother, Quirino Genovesi.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, in Somers.
Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Mount Kisco.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Heart Association.
