SOMERS, N.Y. -- John A. Kelly of Somers died Sunday, Aug. 30th at the age of 79.
Born on June 13, 1936 to Peter and Catherine Kelly in Mt. Vernon, he lived for many years in Yonkers.
John loved camping, traveling and playing horse shoes. He worked as a carpenter for many years in Local 11.
He is survived by his wife Eileen, three sons John, Michael, and Bruce. As well as three grandsons Jack, Matthew, and Christopher. The Family is very thankful for the good care John received for more than three years at Salem Hills Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sep. 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Cargain Funeral Homes, 418 Route Six in Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Sep. 3, at St. John's the Evangelist Church at 10:00 a.m. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the American Stroke Association.
