Margaret Lux, 83, Longtime Somers Resident, Retired School Nurse Teacher

FLORIDA - Margaret "Peggy" Lux, died Wednesday, March 27 in Florida. She was 83.

Lux was born in Valley Stream, Long Island, and was a longtime resident of Somers, N.Y. She was a graduate from Misericordia School of Nursing in Bronx, N.Y., and spent her career in various nursing capacities including Northern Westchester Hospital, Primrose School, Somers, N.Y. and retired from John F. Kennedy High School, Somers, N.Y. as a school nurse teacher.

Lux was a volunteer with the Somers Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and Rosary Society at St. Joseph's Church.

Lux is survived by her husband, George; children, Eileen (Nikolas) Nelson of Campbell Hall, N.Y., Mary (John) Apon of Orange City, Iowa, Carol Lux (Michael) Conley of Vashon, Wash., George (Socorro) Lux of Somers, N.Y., Maureen Lux of Virginia Beach, Va. and Robert (Sheila) Lux of Mahopac, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents, Mae and William F. Dillon; brothers, William and Donald Dillon; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandmother.

Visiting will be Sunday, April 7 from 2-4 and 7-9, at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 8 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls, followed by internment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or to Somers Volunteer Fire Department , PO Box B, Somers, NY 10589.
