The arrest came about when a patrol officer pulled over a burgundy Toyota traveling eastbound on Strawberry Road at a high rate of speed on Wednesday, Oct. 5, around 12:45 p.m., according to police.
A computer check at the scene revealed Tejada was operating the vehicle with his New York State driver's license suspended, police said.
Tejada was arrested at the scene and transported to Police Headquarters, according to police.
He has been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speed in zone, a town code violation, police said.
Following processing, Tejada was issued a traffic summons in reference to the charges, then released on $100 bail, according to police.
Tejada is scheduled to answer the charges against him in Yorktown Court on Thursday, Nov. 3, police said.
