Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Somers Crash

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A motorcyclists was hit and critically injured by a car in Somers at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.

New York State Police are investigating an accident that occurred on Thursday in Somers that critically injured a motorcyle driver.

The victim, who is listed in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center, hit the car when the driver was backing out of their driveway on Tomahawk Street, and making a left turn, said New York State Trooper Joe Izzo.

The man's identity is not being released while the accident is under investigation, Izzo said.

The driver of the car was not injured.
