Numerous retail establishments were checked in Somers, Lewisboro, North Salem and Pound Ridge by using an 18-year-old volunteer to attempt to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators supported by uniformed troopers, police said.
All retail establishments were in compliance and no sales were made to the 18-year-old volunteer, according to police.
State Police, with investigative support provided by the New York State Liquor Authority, routinely conducts underage drinking enforcement operations throughout the state in an effort to curb alcohol abuse and DWI incidents among teenagers.
