Somers Teacher Reportedly Killed In Route 6 Crash

SOMERS, N. Y. -- Somers Central School District officials indentified the victim in a three-car crash Sunday on Route 6 in Mahopac as well-known teaching assistant Fran Ghelarducci, according to lohud.com.

District officials said they were already working to contact parents of her students at Primrose Elementary School to inform them, so that parents can tell their children. District officials said they expected everyone to have a difficult time processing the news, lohud.com said.

Police said Sunday night that they were still investigating the deadly three-car crash, which happened at about 10 p.m. on Route 6, and did not release any other information, lohud.com said.
