Darien Police Releases Photos Of Suspect In Train Station Theft

DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who stole cash from a concession stand at the Noroton Heights train station before boarding a train.

The incident occurred the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 8:45 a.m. An employee of the concession stand told police that he had placed a cash register till on top of a counter and left it unattended. A man then walked up and took the till, which contained about $200 in cash, police said.

The man was described as a white man in his late 20s. Police said he is believed to have boarded an 8:49 a.m. train.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect in the case, and are asking anyone who may be able to identify the suspect to contact the Darien Police Detective Division at 203-662-5330.
