SOMERS, N.Y. - Kids are in for a huge treat on Thursday, Feb. 2, when Kurt Gallagher , composer and performer of Songs for Playful Children, makes a guest appearance at the Primrose Pajama Party. Gallagher devotes his talents to showing kids that music is created by people, not machines, and he encourages kids to join in as he entertains.
On the bill with Gallagher is Somers Intermediate School Principal John Griffiths , playing in concert with the Baloney Brothers Band. Griffiths said he has been playing piano all my life. I started playing the accordion about 20 years ago. He used to play regularly with the Baloney Brothers, so this event will be a reunion concert and will feature a wide variety of childrens music in a lot of different styles, from a lot of different sources, he said.
Everyone knows that the last word in fashion these days is a pair of cozy pajamas. Now there is a chance to wear them to the Primrose Playground fundraising event.
