2 Hit By Pickpocket At Darien Trader Joe's, Police Say Two people in a week have been the victim of a pickpocket at a Fairfield County Trader Joe's. The first incident occurred on Monday, April 1, at the store at 436 Post Road in Darien. According to Sgt. Woman Charged With DUI In Wilton After Hitting Mailbox, Police Say A Fairfield County woman has been accused of driving drunk after she allegedly backed into a mailbox and failed field sobriety tests. Kiana Diaz, age 26, of Newtown, was busted in Wilton on Range Road at 12:08 a.m. on Monday, April 1. According to Lt. Police: Man Spends $5K With Forged Checks In South Windsor A 31-year-old Connecticut man was nabbed for allegedly using several forged checks to spend $5,000 at Costco, police say. Daniel H. Falvey, age 31, of East Hartford, was charged on Thursday, March 28, on an active warrant and charged with larceny and issuing a bad check. According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Falvey's arrest stems from a January investigation in which police found he used several forged checks from an East Hartford business to purchase the items at Costco.
