An alert was issued at around 8:30 p.m. by the agency advising that detectives have been called in to investigate a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Montgomery County Teen Has Been Missing For Over A Week, Police Say
Police have issued an alert for a Montgomery County teen they say has been missing for more than a week. Zakur Brown, 16, was last seen near the 300 block of Flannery Lane in Silver Spring on Monday, April 1, the Montgomery County Police Department said April 10. Zakur is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair styled in locs, police said. No clothing description was available. Anyone with information about Zakur’s whereabouts is urged to call the Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency 24-hour line at (301) 279-8000.

Police are seeking the identities of six suspects after two businesses were struck by gunfire last month. Officers responded to the shooting report near the 900 block of Persei Place in Rockville around 12:30 a.m. Friday, March 8. Police have identified the innocent driver killed by a wrong-way car thief during a police pursuit on I-695 earlier this week. Dimeka Thornton, 37, of Windsor Mill, was operating an Acura TSX when she was struck by a driver in a stolen car in the outer loop, on the ramp to Exit 18 to Liberty Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said in a release. Augustine Koroma, 22, of Lanham, was charged with a residential robbery at a home on the 9900 block of Good Luck Road that occurred on Monday, April 8. Suspect Charged With Murder Of Teen In Baltimore’s Central District: Police
A suspect has been arrested and charged days after the deadly shooting of a teen in Baltimore’s Central District, police said. Dejuan Cole, 19, was charged with first-degree murder, Baltimore Police said Tuesday, April 9. Cole, of Pikesville, is accused of shooting 17-year-old Devron Tyner near the 200 block of East Pratt Street on Monday, April 1. Tyner was found wounded at the scene shortly before 8:30 p.m. and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
