A fugitive from North Bergen accused of shooting and killing a Rutgers University football walk-on from Hoboken who left school to care for his family was captured in Massachusetts on Tuesday, authorities said. One woman was injured and 40 families were displaced in a two-alarm fire in Newark early Monday morning, April 29, authorities said. A steel plate prevented a potential tragedy at Urban Air in South Hackensack when a loaded gun brought into a photo booth by two boys -- one 12, the other 15 -- went off, authorities said. Driver Who Fled Cops At 100 MPH Captured In Secaucus Hotel: Fairfield PD
A 25-year-old Fairfield man was arrested and charged over the weekend after leading police on a 100 miles per hour pursuit, authorities said. Police originally attempted to stop Deyah Shaabneh on Wednesday, April 24, when officers saw his vehicle had a fake license plate, Fairfield police said. Firefighters quickly doused a blaze that found its way inside a Hasbrouck Heights home. Driver Hits Two Poles, Dies In Predawn Route 17 Crash
A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in front of the Home Depot on Route 17 in Lodi before dawn on Sunday, authorities confirmed. 'Static Never Dies': Anonymous Tip Leads To Arrest Of NJ Man, Cops Say
Police in North Jersey have arrested a 25-year-old man wanted for eluding an officer this week, they said. Deyah Shaabneh was arrested thanks to an anonymous tip, Fairfield police said on Saturday, April 27.
