People packed themselves into NY Penn Station Tuesday, Aug. 23 due to a disabled train in Secaucus. A truck that overturned on Route 78 jammed the highway in both directions during rush hour Thursday, Aug. 11. The truck overturned west of Exit 40 in Warren around 7:55 a.m., according to 511NJ. Heavy delays were reported.

65 Cars Involved In Icy Crashes On Major NJ Roadway
At least 65 vehicles were involved in a series of crashes on a major ice-covered road in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crashes were blamed on black ice which often forms at dawn and dusk, according to the Monmouth County sheriff. The first chain-reaction crash occurred at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday on Route 36 westbound at the Route 18 ramp, according to Eatontown police. Road Closed After Truck Topples Pole In Monmouth County
A truck smashed into a utility pole closing a Central Jersey roadway at rush-hour, authorities said. The truck reportedly toppled live wires onto Pearl and Water streets in Red Bank about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to initial reports. An unidentified pedestrian died after being struck by a marked police vehicle in South Jersey, authorities said. A 37-year-old pedestrian was critically hurt after being struck by a pick-up truck while crossing Route 33 in Mercer County, authorities said. Dump Truck Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Through Route 287 Barrier Into Backyard
A dump truck driver was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries after crashing through a sound barrier wall on Route 287 and into the backyard of a Bridgewater home Thursday afternoon, New Jersey State Police said. The right lane of the northbound side of the highway was closed after the 1:25 p.m. crash near milepost 17.6, Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. The driver lost control before he went through the wall and into the backyard of a Woodlawn Avenue home, Peele said. No other injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation. A serious crash closed the southbound side of the Garden State Parkway in Union County Monday afternoon.
