Son Gives Virginia Mom $1 Powerball Ticket
A Fairfax County woman won a $1 million Powerball ticket, thanks to her son. Maria Roldan’s son had a Powerball ticket, but he was about to go on vacation and would miss the drawing. So he gave his Vienna mother the ticket. That turned out to be a $1 million gift. The ticket matched the first five winning numbers in the March 11 drawing. In fact, it was the only ticket in the nation to win the $1 million prize in that drawing. An armed Special Police Officer from Alexandria who was working a detail in a Northeast DC 7-Eleven is heading to prison after shooting a woman during an argument that broke out in January outside the business, authorities announced. Another sell-or-be-banned TikTok legislation is working its way up to the Senate. The House passed the sell-or-be-banned bill for the app (360-58) on Saturday, April 20 as part of a larger foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, giving Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance up to a year to sell the app. Otherwise, TikTok will be subject to a nationwide ban. Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks.
